H O W W E E V A L U A T E
- 1. Two ( 2 ) WebsAwards Judges will engage in the evaluation of each applicant award program.
- 2. From the date of June 1st, 2008, WebsAwards is also interested in learning how you evaluate a web site and why some web sites receive your lower level awards, some your higher level awards and others receive no awards. Provide us with samples of the feedback you give to web sites you awarded and those that were not awarded. Do you have any applicants that would be willing to let us ask them how they experienced your evaluation? If so, please get your past applicants written permission prior to making an application providing us with their contact details. Please advise past applicants that all personal details provided will remain private with only the URL of their web site and any comments made being forwarded to the relevant WebsAwards Judges. Further notes: Until May 31st, 2008 we have only “ rated ” the quality of an award program by applying our criteria to the ' outside ' of the web site. The content was checked and, if found to meet our criteria, a rating level was then applied. But this never automatically meant the award program content was being ' used ' in the correct way therefore we are now also looking ' inside ' award programs and believe that there will be much more ' added value ' to both our applicants and the service we provide in a rating process that justifies the rating levels.
- 3. To resolve any possible differences between the dual scoring ( as both Judges may complete their evaluations with different rating level scores: sample - i.e - a Level 3.0 and a Level 4.0 ), they will initially send their individual evaluation results back to WebsAwards Administration.
- 4. If the overall evaluation results are completed with the same rating level being applied by both WebsAwards Judges the results will be compiled and forwarded to the applicant with copies being sent to both the WebsAwards Judges for their records.
- 5. If there are differing results re the rating level applied by both WebsAwards Judges WebsAwards Administration will contact both Judges informing them of same and request that they then discuss between themselves via email the two ( 2 ) differing evaluation results and come to a joint agreement on the Level rating to be applied.
- 6. Their final joint decision will then be returned to WebsAwards Administration, compiled and forwarded to the applicant with copies being sent to both the WebsAwards Judges for their records.
- 7. If either of the Judges consider an Amnesty should be applied for the use of any applicant this will be discussed between them both and will not be applied without their joint decision.

What is a WebsAwards Amnesty and how does it work?
- A WebsAwards Amnesty is a seven ( 7 ) day timeframe, allowed immediately after an award program evaluation, within which applicants have the opportunity to correct minor criteria errors found through their award program evaluations.
- Amnesties are not automatically granted. They may be applied upon the joint decision to do so by the Judges of your Award Program at the time of evaluation. Applicants may only receive one ( 1 ) Amnesty per application ( the amnesties being exclusive of new award programs with no current WebsAwards rating. ) Applicants will receive one ( 1 ) email notification only.
- Be advised that if any applicant does not make the required corrections to the minor criteria errors found through their award program evaluations it may mean an applicants award program rating level could be downgraded.

What is an Amnesty Extension?

What happens if an award program owner refuses to meet the original and / or extended amnesty time frames?
- Any award program owner who chooses to refuse to work within any Amnesty and / or Amnesty extension timeframe's allocated, will, after the Amnesty and / or Amnesty extension timeframe expiry dates, have their award program removed from our listings.

Can an award program be reinstated to its previous rating level if the owner has refused to meet the original and / or extended amnesty time frames with the listing having been removed from WebsAwards?
- An award program will not be reinstated to its previous WebsAwards rating level and any such application will be treated as though it is new with any previous rating level held with WebsAwards being treated as irrelevant.
